If you come by ferry walk to the Cathedral (THE ONLY STEPS UP) and then to the main square and notice that on the pier you have the porters to deliver your luggage to the hotel at an affordable charge.
The Interno Positano orange bus goes around town in 15 minutes from the main square making several stops,
among which also Piazza dei Mulini (where you can buy tickets) and Grotta Fornillo where our hotel is.
PLEASE NOTICE THAT OUR HOTEL IS ON THE MAIN ROAD SO YOU DO NOT NEED TO WALK STEPS WITH YOUR LUGGAGE.

By car:

If you arrive by car from Rome or Naples:
From Rome, take the A1 highway direction Naples.

From Naples, take the A3 motorway (Napoli-Salerno) and then take the Castellamare di Stabia exit, direction PENISOLA SORRENTINA and after Meta di Sorrento, continue along SS 163 and follow the signs for Positano (this solution is highly recommended even if you come from Salerno).
Once in Positano, at the first intersection, make it right towards the center of Positano.

If you arrive by car from Salerno and want to visit Amalfi and Ravello on your way you can also take the A3 direction Naples, taking the exit Vietri sul mare. Follow the signs to Amalfi and and then to Positano.
Once in Positano, at the second intersection, turn left towards the center of Positano.
Positano lies 20Km from the motorway.
Our hotel is located on the left side of the main road #252.
If you don’t want to stop in Amalfi and Ravello on your way to Positano, go on and take the Castellamare di Stabia exit, direction PENISOLA SORRENTINA and after Meta di Sorrento, continue along SS163 and follow the signs for Positano.
Once in Positano, at the first intersection, make it right towards the center of Positano.

HOTEL Villa delle palme Positano is provided with its own parking at an affordable daily charge. It’s highly recommended to book parking with the hotel management ahead of time.

The nearest Trenitalia train stations are in Salerno or Naples , which are connected to the main lines between north and south of Italy.

There is also a line called “circumvesuviana”, that connects Naples to Sorrento in 1 hour (with a stop at the Pompei ruins which is right in between).

Salerno trenitalia train station is only couple of blocks away from Salerno pier, so contact us for updated schedules of public transportation to make it easier or see timetables at www.positanomap.it

In Rome the MAROZZI BUS leaves from Tiburtina Square (in front of Tiburtina rail station) and reaches Sorrento or (in the high season months) Positano in 3 and a half/4 hours.

Leaving from the Sorrento train station, the Sita bus reaches Positano in one hour http://www.sitasudtrasporti.it/orari
Get off at the bus stop “Chiesa Nuova / BAR INTERNAZIONALE” and catch the bus “Interno Positano” in front of the TABACCHI store.
Buying tickets at the tabacchi or newspaper store, getting off at “Grotta di Fornillo”.
Our hotel is half a minute further down than the bus stop.
